Works in pastel, watercolour, acrylic & mixed media
Welcome to my website, I hope you enjoy browsing through my work. My paintings are varied in both subject and medium but the one constant is my love of colour, both intense and subdued. I find painting exciting, frustrating, rewarding, therapeutic, totally consuming and an integral part of my life. It's wonderful to fill my days with ideas, plans, beginnings, middles and endings. I'm usually planning my next painting while still finishing the last one - sometimes not a good idea! I am self-taught and don't follow a set formula when painting. This has allowed me the freedom to approach my work in my own unique way - not everything works and it's certainly the long way around sometimes but what seems to be a failure can, with some experimenting, turn into a success!
I am very fortunate that I am able to capture our wonderfully colourful world and pass it onto those artlovers who need or want beauty in their lives.
Watercolour and Pastel paintings are available unframed however some have a backing board and single or double matboards and are ready to frame. Acrylic paintings are either offered on stretched canvas, ready to hang or framed ready to hang. Prints and Greeting Cards of my work are also available on request. Paintings on my website showing a red dot are sold.
My studio/gallery is located in Kilmore, the oldest inland township in Victoria, and is open for viewings by appointment (0473139353). I hang a rotating permanent exhibition of my painting at The Danish Room, Kilmore Picture Framers, 44 Victoria Parade, Kilmore - 03 5782 2077.
PRINTS OF MY WORK ARE NOW AVAILABLE. Offered on canvas/wood/metal/paper etc. with custom framing alternatives available. Just click on the painting you like and the 'Prints Available' option will allow you to peruse the size, material and frame you wish to use.
Your feedback is very welcome. Please contact me via email if you would like any further information, or if you are interested in purchasing a painting you can do this directly from this site. Happy viewing!
